I have never visited a slave cemetery before. It is one of the most amazing things I have seen. This cemetery should be preserved for everyone to see and learn about.
This important part of history can not be lost.
We have 40 to 50 head and foot stones in this cemetery. There are adults, infants and young children. Please help us preserve this very important part of North Carolina History. Every orange flag represents a headstone. If anyone knows someone who could be buried at this cemetery.

The picture above is what the cemetery looked like before Betty Parker and 2 car loads of people went out there. Below is a photo that was sent to us after their visit to the cemetery. The cross was wired in. It now is shoved upsidedown in another tree. This is why this cemetery needs to be protected and preserved. We can only learn about our great North Carolina History. Once we find out for sure who is resting there. Not the could not's, and could just as easily as stated in the Chicora Report. Real facts! This is a disgrace!
Time is running out we need help to preserve this important piece of our North Carolina history before it is too late! If you can help we need your donations today!
